On 25th October 2014, Cavill took part in the Gibraltar Rock Run, a demanding event held in support of The Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund, a charity for which he serves as an ambassador.
The Gibraltar Rock Run marked 350 years of Royal Marines history, celebrating their resilience and service. Cavill’s participation brought added attention to the event and its cause. After completing the run, he described the experience as “inspiring”, noting that “none of us are accustomed to what the marines do” and expressing his admiration for their daily sacrifices.
