Kaiane Aldorino

Kaiane Aldorino is a Gibraltarian politician and former Miss World, crowned in 2009 as the first winner from Gibraltar. She later served as Mayor of Gibraltar from 2017 to 2019, following her role as Deputy Mayor.

After winning Miss World on 12th December 2009, she returned to Gibraltar to a hero’s welcome.

Her arrival was marked by a celebratory parade along Main Street, echoing past royal visits to the Rock. During her return, she stayed at The Rock Hotel on 19th December 2009, where she expressed her appreciation for the hospitality, thanking the staff for their service and kindness. Beyond her title, Aldorino used her platform to support charitable causes, including donations to St. Martin’s School for Special Needs and the Rainbow Children’s Ward at St. Bernard’s Hospital.

In her later public roles, she focused on community engagement and strengthening relationships across the region, while continuing to represent Gibraltar internationally. Her story reflects a modern chapter of Gibraltar’s presence on the global stage, rooted in both achievement and local connection.
